Introducing the Latest Workzoom Release: Enhancing Engagement, Efficiency and Management

At Workzoom, we're committed to providing you with the latest and greatest ways to streamline processes, empower managers and enhance employee engagement. In our latest release, we're thrilled to introduce several new features and improvements across various modules. Let's dive in!

Engaging Employees

Deliver Anonymous surveys with Workzoom: Surveys can now be made anonymous at the time the survey is created.

Shared Resources: Styling enhancements to how shared Resources are organized to improve the user experience. Resources are now organized by product in a resource directory accessible from the Resources tile. Managers can now share resources directly with their team by using the 'Add Resources' can do.

Survey & Poll Responses: Enhanced visibility to seeing read receipts, poll and survey responses.

Calendar Enhancements: Improved visibility to employee first & last names on the calendar to help identify employees. Increased visibility to a Manager's indirect staff on their calendar! The Notifications policy must be updated to enable this feature.

Managing HR

Organization Hierarchy Charts: Organization hierarchy chart visibility has been improved for employees. If an organization does not use position hierarchy that report can be inactivated and the Management Hierarchy will display by default.

Streamlining Recruiting

Simplified candidate experience: Now, Candidates are directly taken into their 'to do' after applying to a posting.

Reference Checks: Stylistic improvements to the Reference Check screen for administrators to simplify the experience.

Download Job Posting: New Can Dos are available to download the Job Posting Description and the Job Posting Template description allowing Administrators to see the posting descriptions prior to posting to a job board.

Create Job Opening: To assist Managers in defining specific job requirements on their job requisitions, additional fields have been made visible on the 'Create Job Opening' can do.

Scheduling Employees

Automatically Un-Schedule Employees: Enhanced the timekeeping policy with two new options to un-schedule employees under specific scenarios to enable greater flexibility. The new policy options are 'Un-schedule if over certain hours in a day' and 'Un-schedule if new shift overlaps with existing shift'.

Schedule Complements: Shift requirements can now be defined to repeat on a set schedule!

Managing Time

Additional Reporting: Easily determine the hours in a period by running the new 'Period Hours' report available in Time Analysis in Timekeeping.

Supporting Learning & Development

Course Versions: Courses can now support versioning.

Reviewing Performance

Peer Reviews: Now, Peer Reviews can be initiated within an employee's performance review. Managers can utilize the Assign Peer Review can do to initiate an assessment to be completed by an employee's peer.

Managing Time Off

Leave Request Defaulting: Improved experience of submitting a leave request for employees who only have one type of leave by automatically defaulting in the leave type.

Withdraw Leave Requests: Simplified the Withdraw Leave Request can do for a better user experience. The request will now be automatically withdrawn upon save of the can do.

Payout Vacation Earnings: Employees can now request their vacation earnings be paid out directly within Workzoom. A new 'Vacation Payout' can do is available on an employee's dashboard.

Processing Payroll

NIB Adjustments: Easily adjust the NIB calculation for Bahamian employees by using the new 'Bahamas SocSec Levy Employee Adjustment' and 'Bahamas SocSec Levy Employer Adjustment' value types on pay entries.

Date Effective Workers Compensation Rates: Improved how Canadian WCB rates are set enabling clients to set date effective rates, in addition to simplifying how WCB Earnings are defined.

Disable Sundries: Administrators can now easily disable a Sundry for an employee! On the employee's sundry record simply say yes to the new question 'Should this sundry be excluded?' and save.

Manual Sundry Entries: Improvement has been made to enable manual entry of Sundry amounts for sundries with a declining balance. Now, admins can manually add a new pay entry for a sundry declining balance. Workzoom will now use the sundry value type (not the policy area) to determine the overall balance. Only closed value entries are included so any manually added entries will not count towards the total paid when calculating the sundry for the current pay but it will for the next one.

Email RL1 Statements: RL1 tax statements can now be emailed to employees directly from their phones using the Workzoom app!

Disbursement Reporting: Additional fields have been added to the Disbursement report to help Administrators cross reference payroll results: Payment Method, Department, Pay Run#, Bank Transit Number.  It now groups by default by department.

Misc. Bug Fixes

From recruiting and engagement to scheduling and payroll, numerous bug fixes have been implemented to ensure smoother operations across all modules.
