The product development team at Workzoom is a highly skilled and experienced group of professionals who are responsible for the design, development, and release of new products. This team works closely with other departments such as marketing, sales, customer service, and engineering to ensure that our products meet the highest standards in terms of quality and usability.
The Product Development team also works hard to identify customer needs so that they can create solutions that will best meet those needs. They use industry-leading tools to develop prototypes quickly before committing resources to full production runs. Additionally, they provide support during the entire product life cycle including bug fixes, updates, feature enhancements, and more. This week we sat down with our Product Manager, Jennifer Escott, to learn what "PD" has been up to lately.
What does the Product Development team do?
"The PD team spends their days addressing Workzoom product challenges, making enhancements and working on special projects. Our team collaborates in an iterative way to meet their objectives so that Workzoom functionality fulfills the business needs we've targeted. The team often connects with the Client Success team on use cases so they can replicate the scenarios to improve the technology."
How does the team add value to Workzoom?
"Product Development is responsible for keeping Workzoom awesome! We resolve Workzoom product challenges. We also are responsible for listening to the needs of our clients and prospects to make sure we're meeting and exceeding their expectations. Our special projects also look ahead for what clients will be demanding from top-of-the-line software in the near future so Workzoom always stays ahead of the curve."
How is Workzoom technically different from the competition?
"Workzoom's biggest differentiator is that its been built from the ground up to be an end-to-end solution. Workzoom's system architecture is highly agile. With being agile code fixes are easier to correct, improvements and features are easier to roll out. Also, the entire application has a uniform look and feel. There are no bolt-ons to the code or the user interface. Our clients don't have to shop around for a bunch of different solutions to solve all their pain points. Workzoom can handle their whole employee lifecycle with one solution, one login, one SaaS agreement and one experience."
As Workzoom's Head Of Product Development, what are you most proud of so far?
"I'm most proud of our team's attitude – they are killing our core values! Everyone goes all-in with a positive, can-do mindset. We overcome challenges by getting uncomfortable and iterating. We are comprised of team players and they're always happy to lend a hand when needed."
